Today's WTF Moment Brought to you By....

"I think facebook makes women fertile or something! Seems like everyone on FB is having or just had a baby. Anyways, congratulations to all the new mommy's and daddy's out there!"

Yes, the above is an actual FB status that just appeared in my news feed. I only wish it were true, because if that were the case I would have gotten pregnant loooooong ago. I swear, some people are such idiots! Grrrr.

I joined FB in like 2005. I wonder where my welcome to FB fertile gift is. I think an email to Mark Zuckerberg is needed.

05/12 - Cycle #3 Provera w/ Clomid 50mg = BFN

08/12 - Cycle #5 (3rd round of Clomid 50mg w/ Provera) = BFN

Our Journey So Far...

August/September 2003 - Boy and girl meet and fall in love <3
December 6th, 2008 - Our wediing day!!!
January 2010 - Got accepted to grad school! Pursuing my MS in mental health counseling.
June 2010 - After a year and a half of marriage DH and I finally decide to start trying. We are excitrd and hopeful despite my menstrual irregularities.
January 2011- After months of trying with no success, I finally decide to make an appointment with my OB/GYN
February 2011 - This month was an eventful one. I have blood work to check hormone levels - all fine. I have a pelvic ultrasound - doc says ovaries and uterus are "perfect" with the exception of a follicular cyst on one ovary. I have a D&C with hysterscopy which shows no abnormalities - nice, normal looking uterine cavity, no thickness of lining, tubes clear and open. Doc sees no physical cause for my cycle disturbances, suggests it may be stress related. DH and I are also in the process of buying our first home; while exciting, this does not do much for my stress level. PCOS is also suspected, but a formal diagnosis has not been reached.
March 2011 - Doc prescribes a 3 month regimen of BCPs in the hopes of regulating my cycle and giving my ovaries a "jump start." DH and I are not thrilled about losing out on potential baby-making time, but will do whatever necessary to help us achieve our dream of parenthood.
September 2011 - After 3 months on Metformin and no change other than me being sick all the time, we return to OB/GYN and tell him it just isn't working.. He then knocks the wind out of me by suggesting it is time to see a specialist. I leave the office that day a defeated and blubbering mess. DH and I talk it over and decide that since the holidays are right around the corner, we could take the next 3 months off and "see what happens." Long story short, Santa does not bring us our Christmas miracle
May 2011 - Doc orders more BW, this time to check Dhea and Testosterone levels; results at high end of normal. He also prescribes Metformin. The hope is that the Metformin will restore ovulation and aid us in conceiving. We shall see....; DH and I become homeowners!
January 2012 - Start seeing an RE! I get diagnosed with PCOS. The plan is to start me on 50mg of Clomid after I finish a round of Provera to induce my period. Hubby's sperm count is off the charts! SN: Transvaginal ultrasounds are NOT fun.
February to November 2012 - 6 rounds of Clomid: All BFN.
January 2013 - Lap to remove Paratubal Cyst and check for blocked tubes. No blockages; cyst benign, stage 1 Endo removed. Getting ready to start Follistm and Trigger shot w/ IUI
March 25, 2013 - FIrst (and hopefully only!) IUI
April 6th, 2013 - First IUI turns out to be a bust. I end up getting my period two days before I am slated to test. Needless to say, we are both devestated and a littlle bit in denial. Go to RE that weekend ready to start again only to find that the meds have produced large cysts and we must take the next cycle off. Cue more devestation.
April 30th, 2013 - Finish Grad School! Receive M.S. in Mental Health Counseling.
May 27th, 2013 - Finally begin next cycle of Follistim injections W/ Novarel trigger shot after (once again) taking Provera to induce period. Respond Great. End up with two follicles 17mm and 19mm. Twins a possibility!
June 5th, 2013 - IUI #2 = BF?
